Lakers C Jordan Hill Out For Season With Hip Injury
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) - During the Lakers broadcast against the Oklahoma City Thunder, sideline reporter Mike Trudell said Jordan Hill will miss the rest of the season with a hip injury he sustained Sunday against the Denver Nuggets.
The arthogram test, performed by hip specialist Dr. Jason Snibbe on Friday, revealed that he will need surgery to repair his injured left hip.
In addition to a possible labral tear, the test showed he has loose fragments.
"It's very devastating," former LTV analyst James Worthy said during the game.
The Lakers training staff said he will get a second opinion before Hill goes under the knife.
It will take six months to recover.
