Lake Elsinore Residents Warned Of Sexually Violent Predator Living In Their Community

LAKE ELSINORE (CBS) — Riverside County authorities are warning Lake Elsinore residents of a sexually violent predator living in their community.

Both the Lake Elsinore police and Riverside County's Sexual Assault Felony Enforcement team sent out flyers Tuesday, warning residents that a sexually violent predator was recently released from prison and is living in the area.

Authorities did not disclose the address of  Robert Eugene Tighe, 58, but did say he is living in an apartment complex. Tighe was convicted for sexually assaulting three women in 1979 and 1980 in San Diego County. He has since registered as a Sexual Predator with the Lake Elsinore Police Department.

Lake Elsinore police say they have detectives assigned to monitor registered sexual offenders. Officials say there are currently 67  such offenders living in Lake Elsinore.
