Lake Elsinore Man, 49, Killed In Lakewood Village Hit-And-Run
LAKE ELSINORE (CBS) — A 49-year-old Lake Elsinore man was killed in a crosswalk in a hit-and-run in Lakeland Village, the California Highway Patrol and coroner's office said Saturday.
John Cameron was in the crosswalk on Grand Avenue at Blackwell Boulevard at about 8 p.m. Friday when he was struck by a pickup truck that was traveling north on Grand Avenue, according to the CHP.
Coroners pronounced him dead at Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar at 8:45 p.m.
The CHP is looking for the driver of a truck described by witnesses as a Ford F-250, which may have damage to its front right fender.
Officers asked anyone with information on the crash to call the CHP at (951) 506-2000.
