LA Zoo Ticket Prices To Go Up Again, 5th Increase In As Many Years
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Ticket prices are going up again at the Los Angeles Zoo, the fifth ticket increase in as many years.
The $1 increase will bring tickets for children 12 and younger to $12, up from $5 when Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa took office in 2005. Admission for adults will climb to $17, up from $10 seven years ago. Senior ticket prices will be $14.
The rise in admission prices is expected to generate $720,000 in revenue, according to Assistant City Administrative Officer Raymond Ciranna.
The increase was called for as part of the city budget proposed by Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and approved by the City Council Tuesday.
