LA Ramps Up For the Oscars
The parties have already started - here are highlights from some of this week's bashes.
QVC's Annual Red Carpet Style Party
On Thursday, February 23, QVC held its annual pre-Oscar Red Carpet Style Party. The party highlighted QVC collections from "A-listers" like Heidi Klum, The Kardashians, Kris Jenner, Joan Rivers, Cristina Ehrlich, Mark Zunino, Judith Ripka, Erica Courtney and more as they share their red carpet "must haves" and unveiled new additions to their QVC collections. Attendees of the event included Nicole Ritchie, Eric Stonestreet, Chris Noth, Lisa Rinna, Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian among many others.
Held at the beautiful Four Seasons Hotel of Los Angeles in Beverly Hills, this was an event to remember. Red carpet adorned every step and the main screen and QVC signs were enveloped in over 20,000 white roses. Guests wore beautiful red carpet attire and iPads highlighting QVC's Red Carpet Collections were strategically placed throughout the venue for sneak peeks and online ordering.
OK! Magazine Annual Pre-Oscar party
OK! Magazine kicked off Oscar weekend with its annual pre-Oscar event held this year at the hot West Hollywood club, Greystone Manor. This year, OK! Magazine honored Adrian Grenier for his philanthropic efforts and featuring a performance by three of the finalists of Oxygen's The Glee Project. The DJ for the evening was none other than DJ Pauly D of Jersey Shore infamy.
Grenier was presented by fellow Entourage alum Emmanuelle Chriqui and spoke of his film Teenage Paparazzo. He stated that in the process of filming he began to see paparazzi in a different light and not only getting to know what it was like, but to befriend some, which led to a relationship with OK! Magazine. His speech was followed by a 4-song performance by the finalists of last season's The Glee Project which announced that there will be a second season coming soon.
Global Green's 9th Annual Pre- Oscar Event
On Wednesday, February 23rd, the Global Green Pre-Oscar Party was hosted by celebrities such as Penelope Cruz, Adrian Grenier, & Orlando Bloom. Held at Hollywood's Avalon Nightclub, this event was touted as "THE green event of Oscar Week." Celebrities, eco-luminaries and entertainment press from around the world heard the latest green messages from some of Hollywood's biggest stars. In attendance, besides the hosts, were celebrities such as Emmy Rossum, Sophia Bush, Johnny Galecki, Ed Begley Jr., Michelle Branch, Dylan McDermott and many more.
Some of the celebrity guests arrived in the 2012 Chevy Volt electric vehicle and attendees got a special sneak preview of the 2012 Chevy Volt featuring the new Low Emissions Package, which is now eligible for the coveted car pool lane sticker and $1,500 CA Clean Vehicle Rebate. Evolve Motorcycles also debuted their new $55,000 electric Xenon bike that will be auctioned off to benefit Global Green.
