LA Dodgers Pitch In To Aid Joplin Tornado Relief Efforts
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Several Los Angeles Dodgers players and manager Don Mattingly will sign autographs before Sunday's game against the Florida Marlins at Dodger Stadium to raise funds for tornado relief efforts in Joplin, Missouri.
Dodger relief pitcher Scott Elbert, who was born in Joplin, will be among the players expected to sign autographs from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in Parking Lot 6 during the Viva Los Dodgers festival. A $5 donation is encouraged.
The other players expected to participate in the signing session are pitchers Chad Billingsley, Javy Guerra, Matt Guerrier, Kenley Jansen, Mike MacDougal, Ted Lilly and Ramon Troncoso,
Donations of cash and checks will be accepted. Checks should be made out to "The Salvation Army Disaster Relief."
