LA County Sheriff's Sergeant Accused Of Stealing Thousands From Drug Investigations
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A sergeant with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department has been arrested on suspicion of stealing thousands of dollars from drug investigations.
Bonnie Theodore Bryant III, 56, was arrested Wednesday on felony grand theft charges after a two-week probe by the sheriff's Internal Criminal Investigations Bureau, KNX 1070's Vytas Safronikas reports.

Bryant , who was relieved of duty with pay, is a 28-year veteran of the department.
Bryant has been assigned to the Narcotics Bureau for six years. A statement released by the Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau said Bryant is accused of stealing "thousands of dollars."
Bryant was released on $20,000 bail Thursday morning.
Bryant is scheduled to be arraigned Aug. 17.
