LA County deputies investigate two deadly shootings in La Puente hours apart of each other

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is investigating two deadly shootings that took place hours apart from each other Monday night in La Puente.

Deputies responded to a shooting just after 5 p.m. on the 500 block of Leverett Avenue. When they arrived, they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital where he later died.

Then roughly four hours later, another deadly shooting took place on the 900 block of Fickewirth Avenue.

Deputies responded to calls that shots were fired. A man suffering from gunshot wounds was transported to the hospital and later died.
