KNX1070 To Launch Quarterly 'Ask The Mayor' Program
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — For the first time since assuming office on July 1, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti will be featured on a live, listener call-in show, "Ask the Mayor", to air exclusively on KNX 1070 NEWSRADIO. The hour-long, quarterly program will debut on Thursday, October 24, at 10 a.m.
"Ask the Mayor" will be hosted by KNX 1070 news anchor Tom Haule and chief investigative reporter Charles Feldman and will give Angelenos the opportunity to put the mayor in the hot seat. Listeners will be able to pose questions directly to Mayor Garcetti by calling (866)569-1070 or through Twitter using #knxmayor. "Ask the Mayor" will also stream live on CBSLA.com.
"My job is to solve problems for Los Angeles residents and the best way to do that is to directly hear from the people," said Garcetti, who won a nonpartisan election in May. He was previously a member of the L.A. City Council and served as council president from 2006 to 2012.
KNX 1070, Southern California's only all-news radio station, celebrated its 45th anniversary in the news format this past April. KNX has amassed more awards for broadcast excellence than any other news station west of the Mississippi.
