KNX 1070: 9/11 Anniversary Coverage
KNX 1070 NEWSRADIO has extensive 9/11 anniversary coverage planned with the highlight being KNX's Charles Feldman reporting live from New York starting next Thursday and continuing through Monday, September 12th. Charles is uniquely qualified to be our lead reporter for the 10th anniversary as he reported from New York after a bomb went off in the first terrorist attack on New York's World Trade Center in 1993 and he was there again to report on the aftermath of the 9/11/2001 terrorist attacks.

Day of 9/11/11
5:30-6:30 AM We'll join live CBS Radio Network coverage of the memorial ceremony in New York. Correspondent Steve Kathan will anchor the coverage from our CBS Radio News headquarters overlooking Ground Zero. The New York ceremony will pause at six moments – twice to mark the times that each plane hit the towers, twice to mark the time when each tower fell and to mark the moments of the attacks on the Pentagon and on Flight 93. The first moment of silence will be at 8:46 AM, and houses of worship have been asked to toll their bells at that time. KNX 1070 Newsradio coverage will continue with Dick Helton and Bob Brill anchoring. They'll be bringing in Charles Feldman from the CBS Radio News headquarters overlooking Ground Zero, Jon Baird, who will be flying that morning and Pete Demetriou, Ed Mertz, Vytas Safroncikas who will cover various LA area memorial events.
