Klay Thompson Rips Clippers, Doc Rivers During Interview

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Defending NBA champion and member of the "Splash Brothers" Klay Thompson does not think too highly of the Los Angeles Clippers.

After Clippers Head Coach Doc Rivers made comments to the media earlier in the week saying that the Warriors "needed luck" to come out of the Western Conference, Thompson fired back on Friday.

"If we got lucky, look at our record against them last year. I'm pretty sure we smacked them. Didn't they lose to the Rockets? Exactly. So haha. That just makes me laugh. That's funny. Weren't they up 3-1 too? Yeah, tell them I said that. That's funny. That's funny," Thompson told Bay Area News Group reporter Diamond Leung on Friday.

Thompson wasn't done there, however, going on to say how he, "wanted to play the Clipper last year, but they couldn't handle their business".

The Warriors took three out of for games from the Clippers last season, before winning 67 games in the regular season and ultimately defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals.

The Clippers beat the Spurs in 7 games in the first round last year, before losing to the Houston Rockets in the Western Conference Semifinals, despite holding a 3-1 lead after the first four games.

Not to mention, all of these comments from Thompson came while he was chewing on sunflower seeds.

Thompson wasn't the only member of the Warriors who took issue with Rivers' comments.

Center Andrew Bogut told KNBR radio talking about the Warriors-Clippers rivalry, that he's "got a ring fitted for my middle finger".
