LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The Los Angeles Kings -- winners of last year's Stanley Cup -- will open their lockout-delayed season next Saturday.
The defending world champions will open the season against the Chicago Blackhawks, noon, at the Staples Center.
The game will be televised nationally.
Fans in attendance will see the Stanley Cup victor banner unveiled.
The Kings are scheduled to play 11 of their first 15 games on the road and then will play 13 of 16 at home.
The team said tickets will go on sale for all Staples Center games Monday at 6 p.m. at LAKings.com.
