Sacramento Kings Will Not Be Moving To Anaheim
ANAHEIM (CBS) — The owners of the Sacramento Kings have decided against moving the team to Anaheim.
The move, which would have brought a third professional basketball team to the Los Angeles area, was strongly opposed by the NBA.
The Maloof family has struggled to have a new arena built for the team in Sacramento, but the Anaheim City Council had voted unanimously March 29 to issue up to $75 million in bonds for improvements at the Honda Center.
