Kings' Jonathan Quick Expected To Be Out 'At Least' Another Month
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Veteran goalie Jonathan Quick is expected to be out for "at least" another month, according to Los Angeles Kings General Manager Dean Lombardi.
Lombardi confirmed the time-frame through an email to ESPN.com earlier in the week.
Quick suffered a strained groin late in the Kings' game against the Buffalo Sabres on Nov. 12.
Backup goalie Ben Scrivens, meanwhile, has performed well in place of Quick. Scrivens earned four consecutive wins since relieving Quick, who is expected to be the No. 1 goalie for Team USA at the Winter Olympics in February.
There is talk about Quick returning to the Kings sometime around Christmas.
