Started in 1924, the Anaheim Halloween Parade has become a city-wide tradition of celebration. The Halloween Parade, which takes place on Saturday, Oct. 26, is a glowing nighttime pageant of ghosts, goblins, jack-o'-lanterns, and witches stretching a mile and a half through the darkened streets of downtown Anaheim. The parade takes off at dusk each year on the Saturday preceding Halloween.

Take the kids to howl at the moon at the Living Desert in Palm Desert. Included with zoo admission, kids of all ages are invited to the ever-popular Howl-O-Ween on Saturday, Oct. 26 and Sunday, Oct. 27 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Family-friendly activities include trick-or-treat stations, pumpkin bowling, costume contests, pumpkin decorating and more.
