Kershaw Leaves Game After 3 Shutout Innings With Stomach Flu
SAN DIEGO (CBS) -The reigning Cy Young winner Clayton Kershaw left the game after throwing three scoreless innings due to stomach flu.
Kershaw had three strikeouts and walked one against the San Diego Padres. He also had the games first hit with a double down the left field line.
Dodgers' GM Ned Colletti and Manager Don Mattingly advised him to sit today's game, but Kershaw refused to sit out opening day.
Josh Lindblom took over in the 4th with a 3-0 lead.
