Kemp Joins 30-30 Club As Dodgers Win Again
(CBS) -- Matt Kemp hit his 30th homer of the season and became the second Dodger ever to have 30 homers and 30 stolen bases (36) in one season and the Dodgers scored six runs in the seventh inning to beat the Colorado Rockies on Friday night, 6-1.
Raul Mondesi went "30-30" twice during his career with the Dodgers.
Los Angeles was trailing one-nothing when Esmil Rogers balked in the tying run and Justin Sellers followed the balk by driving home two runs, giving the Dodgers a 3-1 lead.
It appeared the Dodgers were done scoring in the seventh when Sellers was picked-off, but Matt Reynolds was charged with the Rockies' second balk of the inning, prompting former Dodgers manager Jim Tracy's ejection from the game.
James Loney followed the balk with a two-run homer, his seventh of the year and fifth against the Rockies this season; Kemp then went back-to-back when he drilled his homer deep over the centerfield wall, that cleared the camera-well.
Ted Lilly (8-13) pitched seven innings, allowing just a first inning homer to Carlos Gonzalez.
The Dodgers have won four games in a row.
