KCAL News investigation prompts Metro board to make safety changes at stations

A KCAL News investigation, which revealed dangerous and toxic conditions at several Metro stations across Los Angeles County, where potentially deadly traces of drugs were found left behind, has prompted the Metro board to pass a mandate requiring cleaning and disinfecting to promote the safety of travelers.
Investigative reporter David Goldstein has been honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award by both the Los Angeles Press Club and the Radio and Television News Association of Southern California. In his more than three decades reporting in LA, David has won more than 15 Emmy Awards and more than 25 Golden Mike Awards.
