Katie Couric Rumored To Be Leaving 'CBS Evening News'
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — CBS is responding to reports that Katie Couric is leaving her post as anchor of the network's Evening News.
The Associated Press is reporting that Couric will leave the anchor desk less than five years after she took over the job. Her contract expires June 4.
The AP says it got its information from an unnamed network executive.
A CBS spokesperson tells CBS2/KCAL9 that "we're having ongoing discussions with Katie Couric. We have no announcements to make at this time. Until we do, we will continue to decline comment on rumor and speculation."
