Kansas St. Not Thrilled About Opening Against UCLA
(AP) -- Kansas State coach Bill Snyder would prefer to ease into the always-difficult Big 12 schedule. Instead, the Wildcats are only a slim favorite to beat UCLA on the first weekend of the season.
They are still favored in their opener, like all Big 12 teams. Most are expected to win with little trouble.
Oklahoma has a much easier opener than last year, when the Sooners lost to BYU and Heisman Trophy quarterback Sam Bradford injured his shoulder.
The No. 7 Sooners are four-touchdown favorites Saturday over Utah State. Lopsided scores are also expected for No. 5 Texas against Rice and No. 8 Nebraska over Western Kentucky, which has lost 20 games in a row.
