'Just Imagine' Takes Beatles Fans Into The Life Of John Lennon
This summer, John Lennon fans will have the opportunity to go back in time with the return of "Just Imagine" at the Hayworth Theatre in Los Angeles. Tim Piper returns to perform as John Lennon, in a show that celebrates the life and music of Lennon.
Written and directed by Steve Altman, "Just Imagine" will take the audience through an engaging multi-media production for a memorable and interactive musical experience through John Lennon's life from tumultuous childhood to the iconic pop music star we all know and love.
A musician, actor and songwriter Tim Piper has successfully distinguished himself as the preeminent John Lennon with roles in the CBS production "The Linda McCartney Story," E! Channel's "John Lennon Story," "Beatle Wives" and as the singing voice of Lennon for the NBC TV movie of the week, "In His Life -The John Lennon Story." Critics and audience members alike agree that Tim Piper is "the" perfect John Lennon. Piper will be backed by rock band the Working Class Heroes with Greg Piper on bass, Don Butler on guitar, Morley Bartnof on keyboards and Don Poncher on drums.
Audiences will be captivated by Just Imagine's unique perspective on John's life, the stories behind the songs, and revealing insights about the birth of the Beatles, the pressures of super stardom, and John's relationships with his loves and fellow Beatles bandmates.
The show, which runs 120 minutes (with intermission), will be at the Hayworth Theatre now through Sunday, Aug. 25 (no performances June 29 and 30 or July 13 and 14).
