Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Sept. 25)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — The cooler weather finally kicked in Monday.

We have a stronger on-shore flow in place and a more pronounced marine layer. The combination of these weather phenomenon and the shrinking high pressure will keep us mild today and tomorrow as well.

By Thursday high pressure builds back in and we are expecting some warmer weather.

We are watching the track of Hurricane Miriam right now which is just southwest of the tip of Baja right now. It will eventually turn inland and we could see some cloud cover as remnants of this system. Some of the forecast models actually want to bring some precipitation into the area...but I'm not betting on it right now.

In fact the general trend as we make our way from the weekend into next week is warmer weather...with the possibility of a Santa Ana wind event starting Sunday.

Coast-low to mid 70s
Basin-low 80s
Valleys-mid 80s
Deserts-upper 80s
Mountains-upper 60s
