Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Sept. 13)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — We are waking up to some patchy low clouds this morning. We can expect sunshine and warmer temperatures as we make our way through the latter half of this work week.

High pressure will once again build into the area, bringing us temperatures that are well above average. By Friday, the high pressure is directly over Southern California, which will make it our warmest day.

Expect basin temperatures into the 90s and valley temperatures in the 100s through Sunday. The marine layer will get squashed back to the beach. This round of heat should be dry as the off-shore flow dominates.

Expect a little relief on Monday and Tuesday before we warm again.

Coast-upper 70s to near 80
Basin-upper 80s to near 90
Valleys-upper 90s to near 100
Deserts-upper 90s
Mountains-mid 70s
