Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Oct. 3)
STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — The high fire danger we have been forecasting this week seems on track for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Expect some low clouds this morning as the marine layer spreads inland.
As we progress through the day the cloud deck will scour out and that is the last we will see those clouds for a few days.
An upper level low will drop through the Great Basin while a high pressure center noses in from the Pacific. These two features will produce a north and northeast flow into the weekend, which will translate into dry and warm conditions.
The worst of the wind will be Friday morning and the worst of the dry weather will be late Friday through late Saturday. Red Flag Warnings will be in effect through the weekend.
Basin - mid 70s
Beaches - upper 60s to low 70s
Valleys - low to mid 80s
Mountains - low 60s
