Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Oct. 1)
STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — A trough and low-pressure center associated with it are continuing to trek toward the Southwest.
A coastal eddy has formed as this front approaches, which is going to translate into more marine layer and some cooler temperatures.
For the next couple of days, we will top out in the 70s for the basin, just a few degrees below average. The front passes through the area on Thursday and we will see gusty winds increase.
In the wake of this low pressure center, an off-shore flow is setting up. This looks like a moderate Santa Ana event. A Fire Weather Watch has already been issued for Friday and Saturday.
We will see temperatures reaching into the 90s with the relative humidity at critical levels.
Basin - upper 70s
Beaches - low 70s
Valleys - mid 80s
Mountains - upper 60s
