Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Oct. 1)
STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Expect a very warm start to this work week. We have a ridge of high pressure building along with an off-shore flow in place.
The combination of these features will translate into daytime highs in the 100s for the valleys and temperatures near 100 in the coastal plain.
The off-shore flow will also translate into some gusty canyon winds. We are expecting humidities to drop into the single digits as well.
High fire danger is on tap for the next 48 to 72 hours. A red flag warning kicks in today.
We could also break a couple of records in the coastal plan as well today. While today will be the warmest day of the week...it's going to remain above average through Thursday.
We will get some relief by Friday and the weekend.
