Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Nov. 3)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — If you thought the warm weather was done — you are sadly mistaken.

The brief cold/rain outbreak is over, and there's a ridge of high pressure building in that will translate into much warmer temperatures this week along with high fire danger. There wasn't enough rain to get us out of that fire danger.

The off-shore flow will build Monday night and will strengthen through the week. The peak of the event will be Wednesday. Don't be surprised if some wind advisories pop up through the week. There could even be a fire weather watch.

Temperatures will be about 8 to 10 degrees above average, hovering in the upper 80s to low 90s.

While the ridge flattens out a bit at the end of the week, it strengthens again for the weekend. As of right now, long range models don't advertise any cooling until at least the middle of the month.

It will be a taste of summer in fall...once again.
