Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Nov. 18)
STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Red Flag Warnings and some Wind Advisories are still in place Tuesday morning, but they are expected to expire later in the afternoon.
Expect some warmer weather as a ridge of high pressure bumps into Southern California. It is a dirty ridge of high pressure (clouds going over the ridge) so there will be partly to mostly cloudy skies through the day.
By Wednesday morning, an on-shore flow starts to develop along with a couple waves of energy moving into the west coast. This will bring the threat of light showers to the central coast; however, Southern California will be dry (aside from possible drizzle from the thickened cloud cover).
Temperatures will dip down as well. As these systems move through the region there will be a few waves of gusty winds so be prepared for advisories.
By the beginning of next week, it looks like a stronger Santa Ana wind event is shaping up that will mean more Red Flag Warnings and dangerous winds. Temperatures will pop up as a well.
