Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Mar. 23)

STUDIO CITY (CBS) — We are looking at a cooler end to the week. The marine layer is in place and it will be just a bit thicker with the chance for some drizzle for foothills communities.

The Southland will get hit with another storm system this weekend. Rainfall totals right now look like .50" to 1.50". Timing of the storm is still up in the air.

Two forecast models bring the system in fast, late Saturday night and early Sunday morning. The other model brings the system in a little slower, mid morning Sunday into the afternoon. I'm inclined to go with this model, because it has been pretty consistent in the last couple of storms, but there is about a 6 hour difference between the models. Nevertheless it's going to be wet this weekend.

Snow levels will stay pretty high through the start of the storm, however once the cold air arrives, we will see the level drop down to the Grapevine.

Monday morning looks to be slightly unsettled before things clear up in the afternoon. Expect cold temperatures through the weekend. There is another possible storm late next week.

Beaches - low 60s
Basin - mid 60s
Valleys - mid 60s
Deserts -upper 60s
Mountains -low 50s
