Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (June 25)

STUDIO CITY (CBS) — We are waking up to mostly clear skies Monday and weather very similar to the beautiful Sunday we just experienced.

An upper level low is moving to the east in the Pacific Northwest. Temps should be comfortable Monday and then expect warmer weather inland through the week. The traversing low will allow the monster ridge of high pressure that is dominating the middle of the country to expand into Southern California. This will translate into a warm week inland.

The difficult aspect of the forecast this week will be the marine layer. Monday and Tuesday will be mostly clear, but by Wednesday there is an indication that the coastal eddy will return. Depending on how deep it gets, the downtown and basin temperatures will be affected. I suspect the valleys will remain clear for the week and thus on the warm side. The beach temperatures are a bit in question because if we keep it clear, obviously the temps are going to be a little warmer.

Beaches -low 70s
Basin - upper 70s to low 80s
Valleys - upper 80s to low 90s
Deserts - upper 80s to low 90s
Mountains -low to mid 70s
