STUDIO CITY (CBS) — The high pressure ridge that has been keeping us warm and has also been pulling up that tropical moisture is starting to retreat to the east.
As it drifts away . . . so will the hot conditions we've been dealing with. Look for some slight cooling Friday with better cooling for the weekend bottoming out in the low 80s. Next week a trough carves out along the west coast . . . and we will remain slightly below average with low clouds in the morning and hazy sunshine in the afternoon. There is a chance for some patchy dense fog early Friday morning.
Coastal – mid 70s
Basin – mid to upper 80s
Valleys – mid 90s
Mountains – upper 70s to low 80s
Deserts – upper 90s
