Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (July 23)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Things have settled down after a very busy Monday.

We had numerous flash flood warnings and even a few severe thunderstorm warnings.  The atmosphere is stabilizing, however, there is a slight chance for a thunderstorm in the mountains this afternoon.

Look for a general warming trend for the rest of this work week.

At this point it looks like Friday will be the warmest day. Inland temps should reach into the mid to upper 90s.

It should be a dry heat, so it appears the monsoonal flow will move out of our area after Tuesday.

We should get a little cooling into the weekend with a little more marine layer.

Basin -low 80s

Beaches - low 70s

Valleys - upper 80s to low 90s

Mountains - low 70s

Deserts - mid 90s
