Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (January 5)

STUDIO CITY (CBS) — Cut-off low spinning off-shore...and high pressure ridge building in the great basin...this combination will keep us dry today.

Look for another cold start to the day as a cold dry air mass remains in place, but daytime highs will edge up ever so slightly. The low finally moves inland by Friday which will translate into some added cloud cover...maybe some drizzle to the south.

For the weekend a Northwest flow sets up. We can expect breezy conditions and temperatures just a bit below average. By Monday and Tuesday high pressure builds in and we may see some 70 degree temperature readings.

Right now no significant rain in our future.
