Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Jan. 26)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — After record breaking warm temperatures over the weekend, the weather is taking a marked turn as we get ready for some showers.

A plume of moisture surging from the south will bring the threat of sprinkles through the day and steady rainfall by the evening.  This isn't a major soaker by any means; however expect anywhere from .25 to .50 inches.

Communities to the east and south have the best chance at higher totals, while western and northern communities won't be quite as wet.

Temperatures will cool considerably from yesterday as well, but we are still well above average.  Look for mild temperatures through the week as a troughy pattern remains in place.
