Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Jan. 22)
STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — So the off-shore flow is starting to kick in. There will be some gusty winds Thursday morning — enough for an advisory (but stay tuned...more winds to come).
Temperatures should bump up Thursday and hit the upper 70s. The warm weather will stay with us as a surface high sets up in the Great Basin. Temperatures should hit the 80s by Friday.
There is a weak disturbance moving through the area later Thursday, and it will translate into some high cloud cover. This mass of clouds is actually going to drift to the south and turn into a cut-off low. It will eventually return as showers at the beginning of next week.
As far as the wind goes, those gusty conditions will continue into the weekend with possibly warning and advisory level winds for mountains and deserts on Saturday.
The rain chances start later Monday and linger into Tuesday. Right now, the models are showing most of the action to the South and East.
