Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Jan. 21)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — We have a healthy marine layer once again this morning.  However, with an increasing off-shore flow, the clouds should be pushed out through the day.

Look for clearing conditions this afternoon.

A surface high pressure center is setting up in the Great Basin . . . that combined with a ridge of high pressure nosing in from the Pacific will translate into a warm stretch into the weekend.

Look for temperatures to rise starting Thursday and lasting through the weekend.  We'll see highs in the 80s.

There is a cut-off low pressure system that is going to meander south through the weekend.

By Monday that low pushes north and it could bring us some wet weather as it surges into the area. Temperatures will drop a bit on Monday and Tuesday as well.

It still a little early to tell if this system is going to bring any kind of significant rain.
