Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Dec. 5)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Hopefully you all look good in fuzzy sweaters because the cold snap for the Southland continues. Temperatures dipped into the 30s Thursday morning in the San Fernando Valley.

There were some reports of ice collecting on sidewalks and streets in Woodland Hills. Portions of the Antelope Valley dropped to the teens, but temps were a little higher than anticipated in spots because of some cloud cover.

Expect mostly sunny skies today and clear skies Thursday night, which will mean another cold morning Wednesday. A broad trough remains in place along the West Coast and that will open the door to another wave of energy moving through the area over the weekend.

There is a chance for a shower on Saturday then clearing on Sunday. Look out for very windy conditions on Saturday. Temps will remain well below average through the weekend and into Monday.

Warmer weather kicks in with an off-shore flow by the middle of next week.
