STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Our little taste of summer will quickly come to an end, so don't be caught off guard. Expect one more fantastic Southern California day Monday. Temperatures will once again shoot above average by several degrees, and the off-shore flow is helping to keep us dry and sunny.
Tuesday is a completely different story, though. The marine layer will develop overnight as our flow turns on-shore. Daytime highs will be about 10 to 12 degrees less.
A cold front will sweep through the area late Tuesday into Wednesday and that will bring a slight chance of some drizzle. There is not a lot of moisture with this system, but there is good lift, so whatever moisture there is, it will be squeezed out.
Snow levels will drop to 4500 feet. The big story will be gusty winds that develop and very cold overnight lows. Look for hard freezes by Thursday morning in the Antelope Valley; frosty mornings will be seen in the San Fernando, Santa Clarita and interior Ventura County valleys.
