Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Dec. 16)
STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — It looks like a nice start to the work week. High pressure along with an off-shore flow will keep temperatures above average Monday.
Tuesday will also be above average, but maybe a degree or two cooler. Then Wednesday there will be a transition as a weak trough moves through the area. Temps will drop down near average into the upper 60s.
By Thursday an upper level low moves down the coast and will bring with it a chance for scattered showers. Based on the latest forecast models the low will be far enough offshore that any rainfall will be very light with Orange County getting the best chance at widespread coverage.
The low will then drop far south and push inland over Baja. That means another relatively dry event. Even Orange County won't see much more than a trace to a tenth of an inch of rain.
It will definitely be colder as the core of this system is cold but don't count on much from this system. Minor movements in the low however could make a big difference so this is one we will watch closely during the week. The long range models right now show we should be dry through Christmas.
