Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Aug. 7)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — The below average temperatures continue for another day in Southern California.

We are looking at a strengthening on-shore flow as an upper level low moves into the Pacific Northwest.

This slow moving system will keep us cooler than normal for another few days.  In fact by Friday, temperatures will only top out in the low 70s downtown.  That's nearly 12 degrees below where we should be for this time of year.

For today look for the cloud cover this morning to give way for hazy sunshine in the afternoon.  We will start to see the temps rebound over the weekend.

By next week the high pressure builds in and we are going to gear up for some very hot inland conditions.

Basin - mid 70s

Beaches - low 70s

Valleys - mid 80s

Mountains - low 70s

Deserts - upper 80s
