Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Aug. 5)

STUDIO CITY (KCAL9) — It should be a pleasant work week after a nasty weekend. Temperatures Tuesday will be running just a bit below average.

There's a stronger on-shore flow that brought a relatively shallow marine layer, running at about 800 feet deep.

Look for hazy afternoon sunshine. Sunday's storm system is still up to the Northeast over Nevada, which will open up later Tuesday and some residual energy will rotate around the system and back into Southern California.

It looks like Santa Barbara County and San Luis Obispo County have a chance at a t-storm Wednesday.

Otherwise look for some cumulus development. Thursday and Friday look mellow with only slight warming the weekend looks good as well.

By next week, there's some semi-permanent high pressure center over the four-corner states. It looks like it will expand to the west and bring us warmer weather once again.
