Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Aug. 27)
STUDIO CITY (KCAL9) — High pressure is nudging to the east and that is helping to bring warmer temperatures to most areas for the next few days.
Basin temperatures will top out in the upper 80s and low 90s Wednesday. Valleys could reach triple digits by Thursday.
The high pressure however will break down a bit on Friday, and we will see a gradual cooling trend into next week. All in all the holiday weekend is looking nice.
The big story in the weather department are the epic waves. The heavy surf event will peak today. High tides hit at around 11 a.m. and 10:45 p.m. Wednesday night.
There's been sets at 15 feet already with some tidal overflow. The heavy surf will relax through Friday, but the advisory is in effect through 6 p.m. Friday.
