Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Aug. 1)
STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Coastal areas and basin had slow clearing yesterday and that did a number on the day time high, only topping out at 73 degrees downtown.
The on-shore gradients are similar today, so we can expect more of the same.
The marine layer is running at about 2000' right now. Daytime highs today should top out well below average.
Look for hazy sunshine once we get rid of the cloud cover today. Watch for gusty winds in the high desert and mountains this afternoon.
The stagnate patter continues through the end of the weekend and into the beginning of next week. It does appear that the high pressure to our east may expand a bit by Tuesday giving us a slight warm up and possibly sneaking some monsoonal moisture into the eastern districts late Tuesday and Wednesday.
Basin -low to mid 70s
Beaches - low 70s
Valleys - upper 80s
Mountains - mid 70s
Deserts - mid 90s
