IRVINE (CBS) —  A 41-year-old Irvine woman was formally charged Wednesday with sexually assaulting her son's 14-year-old friend.

Nicole Ethel McMillen allegedly sexually assaulted the boy who would come over to her house to play with her son, according to the Orange County District Attorney's Office.

McMillen is accused of assaulting the boy on five occasions from Jan. 2 to Feb. 8, according to prosecutors. The alleged incidents range from fondling the boy to performing oral sex on him, according to prosecutors.

The boy told his mother about the alleged sexual incidents Feb. 13 and his family contacted Irvine police, according to prosecutors.

McMillen worked part-time with kindergarten-aged children at Peters Canyon Elementary School and the Tustin Unified School District as a behavioral interventionist, according to the Orange County District Attorney's Office.

McMillen was charged with four felony counts of lewd acts on a child and two felony counts of oral copulation of a victim younger than 16 and could face up to six years and three months in prison, according to the District Attorney's Office.
