4 Students Arrested In Alleged Sexual Hazing At La Puente High School

LA PUENTE (CBSLA.com) — Investigators are looking into an alleged sexual hazing incident at La Puente High School.

The alleged incident occurred a few weeks ago, say authorities.

Four freshmen members of the boys' soccer team were allegedly hazed by four upperclassmen.  LA County Sheriff's from the City of Industry are reportedly heading the investigation.

A source tells CBS2 and KCAL9 reporter Greg Mills that foreign objects were used to sodomize some of the new Warriors recruits.

Mills also said the Sheriff's department was keeping rather mum while they were completing their investigation.

He also reported school administrators have talked to students to let them know "what was going on."

One victim, sodomized more seriously than the other recruits, was sent to a hospital for treatment.

Four male students were reportedly arrested Friday and later released to their parents.

Mills says investigators were tipped off by the mother of one of the boys. She heard her son crying in his room and went in to investigate.

A student who wished to remain anonymous told Mills the sexual hazing had been "going on for years."

A sergeant with the Special Victims Unit confirmed that "hazing incidents have gone on for several years and [these new incidents] may have risen to the level of a crime."

Sgt. Al Fraijo added, "At this point there is no information to indicate that any member of faculty or coaching staff were directly involved."
