Huntington Park Man Accused Of Sexual Battery At Roosevelt Pool
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A Huntington Park man is behind bars Saturday after allegedly touching a woman inappropriately at a public pool.
Authorities say the man inappropriately touched the woman in her genital area on Friday.
Sheriff's Deputies were providing security at Franklin D. Roosevelt Park Pool -- 7600 Graham Avenue in Los Angeles -- when they said a female ran up to them and told them she had just been touched.
While discussing the incident with deputies, the victim spotted the suspect and pointed him out. The time of the incident was not revealed.
When officials went to approach the man, they said he fled.
The suspect was apprehended several minutes later after he ran into a local business.
Authorities identified the man as Hermes Escobar.
The suspect was booked at Century Station for sexual battery. He's being held on a $20,000 bail.
