HUNTINGTON BEACH (CBSLA.com) —  Huntington Beach police have arrested a suspected child molester investigators say used social media to lure his victims.

Jackson Roland Westermeyer is accused of posing as a girl on various websites in order to make contact with underage boys. Investigators say he sent victims nude photos of underage girls and attempted to meet victims several times.

He was taken into custody on a warrant charging him with one count each of meeting a minor to commit lewd conduct and extortion of property by force or fear and five counts of possession or control of child pornography, all felonies, according to court records obtained by City News Service.

He is also charged with five misdemeanor counts of child annoyance.

Huntington Beach police Lt. Mitch O'Brien said Roland Westermeyer is being held in lieu of $250,000 bail.

Additional details about the case are scheduled to be discussed at a news conference Thursday morning.
