Huntington Beach LL Advances To US Championship Game
SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (CBS) -- Hagen Danner and the Little Leaguers from Ocean View in Huntington Beach will get their rematch with Montana in the United States Championship on Saturday after a 2-0 win over the hometown team from Pennsylvania on Thursday night.
A massive crowd of 40,000+ and a national television audience watched Danner strike out 12 batters and hit a homer, the first of the tournament for Ocean View.
Huntington Beach lost to Billings, Montana late on Wednesday night, but will get a rematch for the chance to face the international champions in the championship game (Mexico-Japan).
