Human Remains Found After Crews Contain Fire In Inglewood Alley
INGLEWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Authorities determined the cause of a fire, that led to the discovery of human remains, to be suspicious on Thursday.
According to fire officials, crews were sent around 6:00 a.m. Wednesday to the 1000 block of La Brea Avenue, near Century Boulevard, for report of a furniture burning in the alley behind a 7-Eleven convenience store.
Once on scene, crews doused the blaze, which led to the discovery of human remains.
Firefighters explained they then contacted police to take over the investigation.
The identity of the victim, and any possible suspects, remain unknown at this time.
