Hudson Reaches Out To Sands After Sailing Pitch Near Head
(CBS/AP) -- Atlanta Braves pitcher Tim Hudson threw a pitch that sailed behind Jerry Sands' head in the sixth inning, after the Dodgers rookie made his debut with a double and sacrifice fly ball.
"(Hudson) signed a ball and sent it over. It was a classy move by him and I appreciate that," Sands said. "He said 'Good debut' and told me it got away from him a little bit. But I wasn't looking into it at all. I watched him growing up, so that'll definitely go in the trophy case."
The Dodgers beat the Braves 4-2 on Monday night. The two teams will meet again on Tuesday and you can watch the action on KCAL 9 starting at 6:30 with Think Blue TV.
